Today was a full day of adventure with the ski exchange group. We started with a hearty breakfast prepared by the parents, and grabbed pre-made sandwiches, fruits, and snacks for our lunch later. Afterward, we drove to Meadow Park Sport Center and set off on skis towards Lost Lake, where we enjoyed an ascent with stunning views of the surrounding snowy mountains.
One of our coaches had a broken ski boot, but with some quick thinking and duct tape, he managed to complete the entire ski trip without any trouble!
At the warming hut, we took a break for lunch and hot chocolate. We then had some fun playing a game of tag on the frozen lake. Refreshed, we returned to Meadow Park for a swim at the public pool, where there was a lively mix of cold water enthusiasts and hot tub fans. A well-timed snack gave us a boost before we dressed up to head to Whistler Village.
The village offered something for everyone: some of us enjoyed the shopping, while others explored the beautiful network of pedestrian paths connecting the area. We wrapped up the evening back at the Whistler Athletic Village with a delicious dinner and some fun games to cap off the day. Some interesting trading happened (exploding kitten game if one of the boy get his nail polished)
