Day 3 Recap

Another eventful day for the athletes from Hollyburn and Chelsea Nordique.  A rare sleep-in morning at the host houses was followed by yet another trip up to Cypress Mountain Hollyburn Nordic Area.  The weather didn't appear to be cooperating this morning with a 'heavy drizzle' falling onto the trails.  Thankfully it quickly turned into a 'wet snow' and the youngsters set off to help set up in their respective cabins for an overnighter in the Historic Hollyburn Cabin Community.

For more information on these historic cabins visit: https://www.hollyburnheritage.ca/cabins/

(To those of you in the Gatineau region, note the many words we have for rain, and also that 100 years is pretty darn historic in these parts).

Our club was hosting the annual Lantern Ski to one of the cabins where chili, hotdogs and other fine foods were served.  Some snow play (wet snow is perfect for snowballs!) ensued and the overnighters headed back to their cabins for what I'm sure will be a very long and restful sleep 😉.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of photos for today! Tomorrow we'll be packing up and heading into the city for an amazing race-style exploration of Vancouver.
